As far as I can tell, the first Mateo & Matos releases were on their Final Cut label in 1992. "It Works" was the fifth release on that label, and was produced in memory of Eddie Matos' brother, Alex, who died that year at the age of 22. While looking up this 12" on Discogs, I realized it wasn't as obscure as I thought it was. Charles Webster beat me to it 3 years ago on his Coast 2 Coast compilation on NRK.
